A ceilidh was enjoyed at Victoria Hall on 9 November.   The proceeds were divided between St Bart’s and St Paul’s in Zambia.  Thanks to Julie Raven for her assistance in organising such a successful event.

On Remembrance Sunday Rev Carol Hirst led the prayers at the War Memorial in the village.  The church was well attended by members of the Parish Council and the uniformed groups, as well as many local residents.  The Guides read the names of the Fallen from the Church War Memorial.

On 18 November a Celebration Event took place in the Community Centre .  The aim was to celebrate the success of the groups using the centre and to look for ways in which this could be extended to include other groups and individuals within the community.  This was also an opportunity for people to see the improvements to the centre, especially upstairs, thanks to grants totalling £20,000.
